![]() I absolutely love how much you can do in it! And there's plenty of tutorials. I'm not great at 3d,we had some Maya at uni and now I'm learning blender in my spare time. But it also depends what type of animation you're doing. TVPaint Animation is a raster-based software made for animation and drawing. ![]() Also the software is known as 'TVPaint', 'TVP Animation Edition Standard'. Not a single link lead me to a free trial download. This program is intended for drawing and animation enthusiasts. You can run TVPaint Animation on Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10/11 32-bit. So I looked into the website, and it says everywhere that there is a free trial, but everything is ancient and doesnt work. I can't afford anything else as other softwares are expensive, if I could, I'd definitely go for toon boom. TVPaint Animation is a program compiled for graphic design and 2D animation. And it gets some time getting used to it. Hello, sorry if this has been asked before. ![]() That being said, you can do good animation in clip studio, but it may take longer than in other software due to it not being strictly for animating. It takes some time of getting used to, but now, a year from graduation I'm quite proficient at it, there's some great tutorials on YouTube on how to animate in it. We had them all at uni and I'm happy that I got to use them and learn them there.īut they're super expensive, so I don't buy them, I only bought Clip Studio when I was still at uni when it was on sale (mainly for illustration - it's worth it for that alone), but last year of uni because of covid we had to work from home for some time and I used it for animating. I’ve been using it and Toon Boom Harmony for a. TVPaint is expensive but IMO the best if you just want to focus on 2D animation. Nice textures and other stuff I do most of the time in comp in a different programme. I'm not a student anymore so I don't have access to Adobe, toon boom or TV paint. And yes the brushes in TVP are terrible but I personally only use it for simple line and colouring.
